MC110 Media Composer Effects Essentials

The Media Composer Effects Essentials (MC110) course is for video editors who understand the basics of the editing tools in Media Composer and are ready to move ahead and learn the fundamentals of creating effects within Avid Media Composer, the non-linear film/video editing application used in most movie and television productions. This course provides a solid foundation in Media Composer video effects capabilities and in conjunction with the Media Composer Editing Essentials (MC110) course, will prepare you to earn the credential of Avid Certified User | Media Composer.
Firstly, you will be taken through the basic effects-building interface and learn the mechanics of working with effects in Media Composer. Then, using real-world examples, you will learn to solve common video image and editing problems using effects, like tracking and stabilization; create multi-layered effects; use various retiming methods; create pan-and-zoom style effects with Ultra HD images, use automated color correction tools to fix exposure and color problems; and more.

- A working knowledge of Windows or Macintosh operating systems
